Frock-swap fundraiser on its way to Penarth!
4:20pm Friday 27th January 2012

LADIES will soon be able to inject new life into their wardrobes, thanks to a fun-packed, fundraising clothes-swapping event coming to Penarth!
The Frock Swap takes place on Friday, February 10, from 7pm at All Saints Church Hall.
Ladies will have the opportunity to exchange up to three items of good quality clothing or accessories and enjoy champagne, cocktails and cupcakes at the swap and grab event!
They will also be invited to bid on clothing items donated by local celebs.
All proceeds from the evening will be donated to the National Eisteddfod, which will be held in the Vale of Glamorgan this year.
Jodi Govier, who has organised the event, said: "Each guest brings between one and three items to donate - not just dresses, but anything from trousers, tops or jackets to shoes, handbags, scarves, necklaces, bracelets and brooches.
"Items can be brought on the night, or ideally dropped off at the hall during the day from 2pm onwards.
"All items are displayed and everyone gets a chance to browse and try on items for half an hour, during which time co-owners of Penarth’s newly opened haberdashery shop, Sewing Birds, will be on hand to advise on alterations and making the most of your wardrobe.
"Everyone can take home the same number of items that they donated," added Jodi.
"We'd like ladies to please bring quality items, not jumble. Perhaps you have items you're fond of - maybe something you bought for a special occasion - but you know you won't wear again.
"We just ask that clothes are good quality, clean, ironed and on hangers and good quality accessories are placed in boxes or clear plastic bags."
Tickets cost £10 and are available from Foxy's Deli or by contacting jodigovier@gmail.com
