A FORMER Penarth schoolboy has been selected to compete for the Welsh tennis team at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.
Twenty-year-old Josh Milton, a former Stanwell School pupil, won the AEGON GB Pro Series event at Roehampton, and finished as runner-up in Chiswick.
“I’m really looking forward to playing at the Commonwealth Games,” said Josh, who is based at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, and is ranked in the world’s top 500.
"I don’t get many chances to represent Wales, and this may be my only chance to play in an event like this, so I really want to make the most of it.”
Josh, from Rhoose, first picked up a racket when he was given one as a present for his fifth birthday.
Since then, he has won a $15,000 title and has competed at Junior Wimbledon and the US Open.
